Lebanese Lima Beans submitted by Dee Leathers.
- 1/3 cup oil
- 1 medium onion diced
- 1 cup pork cut in small cubes
- 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 (12 oz) bag frozen lima beans
- 1 1/2 cups water
- Small can of tomato paste
Dice the onions and saute with pork and oil until onions are translucent. Add tomato sauce and dry ingredients. Add the frozen lima beans and water and tomato paste. Cook on medium. Make sure beans are completely covered with juice. Add a little water if needed. Serves 3 to 4.
