Bookmobile / Outreach

Our Bookmobile travels throughout Marion County, providing books, book discussions and book-based music programs to organizations and individuals unable to travel to our facility. These include:

• The Village of Lebanon
• Cedars of Lebanon
• Assisted Living
• Head Start
• Loretto Motherhouse
• Marion County Industries
• Lebanon Housing Authority
• Home bound individuals and children in homeschooling programs.

Checkout policy for bookmobile Patrons:

Each card has a checkouts limit of 15 items, 4 of which may be 14 day items per normal library policy. Checkouts must be returned on time before more books can be checked out to retain the library’s collection.

Patrons can call and see if their checkouts are available for renewal any time within the business hours of the library. 14 day books can be renewed twice per library policy. Due dates are printed on the checkout slip every patron receives when checking out items.

The library does not charge late fees, but does charge for items if they are never returned or are returned damaged.
